L.R. Burleigh

1853-1923

L.R. Burleigh (Lucien Rinaldo) was the son and namesake of Lucian Burleigh, and grandson of Rinaldo Burleigh. He achieved lasting fame as a lithographer and illustrator of cityscapes in the late nineteenth century. His business was based in Troy in New York State. The lithographs he designed, and that his company produced, are much sought-after even until the present time. His work combines precision with an evocative sense of topography.
