1853-1931

Sydney Richmond Burleigh, son of George S. Burleigh, was a renowned artist in his day. He helped grow the Rhode Island School of Design and the Providence Art Club in their early years. His work spanned multiple forms, including oil painting, water colors, illustrations, and building design. He was associated with the American Arts and Crafts Movement.
